Nathan and Megan met in October of 2011. They were both in the Legacy of Bryant Marching Band and knew of one another. However, after a horrifying car accident, their lives were changed from that moment.
After Megan’s car accident, Nathan started to talk to Megan and soon a friendship developed rather quickly. After much persistence and perseverance from Nathan, Megan finally agreed to start dating on April 29th, 2012. Nathan attended Ouachita Baptist University while Megan was not too far away at Henderson State University and the two have been inseparable since.
A little over five years later, on May 5th, 2017, Nathan finally asked Megan to be his wife. Now the two will tie the knot on April 28th, 2018.
Nathan is twenty-four years old and is a 2016 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University where He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science and applied mathematics. Nathan is currently employed at the Arkansas Department of Transportation as an Application Developer. When Nathan is not working, he spends most of his free time with Megan, watching the latest Netflix series, or working with the technology committee at his church always trying to improve the latest thing.
Megan is twenty-three years old and is a 2017 graduate of Henderson State University. She received her degree in Health and Physical Education with an additional Coaching Endorsement (K-12) and Middle School Mathematics Endorsement (4-8). Megan is hoping to pursue a Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy next Fall. When Megan is not in school, lifeguarding, or teaching swim lessons, she spends most of her time with Nathan as well as her family.
Throughout the years we’ve grown leaps and bound. We are no longer the childish teens we once were, well at least not Nathan. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends and family who’s supported us throughout the years and we can’t wait to celebrate our big day with everyone.
The Day Of
Our wedding ceremony will be at the First United Methodist Church, in Arkadelphia, AR. Our wedding minister is Zach Garrigus. We will have a friend providing most of the music and is doing a song just for us during the unity cross. We will also have family and friends doing readings that are special to us. We are really looking forward to this moment of becoming husband and wife and we hope you can be there to share it with us! There will be a reception to follow with cake and hors d’oeuvres.

Our engagement pictures were taken by Reid and Brittany Riggan photography. The setting was at the Clinton Library.
What we want most for our wedding is to have all of our friends and family there to celebrate the occasion with us, and so, more than anything we would simply enjoy your presence. (We mean it!) That said, we also enjoy dishware and shiny new four-slice toasters too, so if you really would like to get us something, you can find some suggestions here:
Please leave us a message and let us know that you stopped by!
We pray God will bless your home with the richest of His blessings as your seek to faithfully serve Him.John and Jean Owen
